Description from the seller
Mario Botta – Original aquaforte (e.g. 97/100)
Signed, dated and preserved in a folder.
Sheet size 46x35
Plate size 23x23
This original etching by Mario Botta, an internationally renowned architect, represents a rare and precious testimony of his design vision transposed into the language of art graphics. The work, dated December 1994 and signed by the author, is titled "X Artificio", and is part of a limited edition of 100 numbered copies (this is number 97/100).
Executed with a decisive, clean, architectural mark, the image shows a geometric and dynamic composition, recalling recognizable elements of Botta’s poetics: essential volumes, rational structures, strongly defined spaces. The building at the center, enclosed between lines that cross and overlap, seems to emerge as a mental construction, more than a physical one, highlighting the continuity between drawing and project, between idea and space.
The work is rendered with great quality, on high-quality paper, and kept in an editorial folder. An object destined for collectors, architects and enthusiasts of contemporary graphics.
Shipment packed within 5 days of adjudication.
