Description from the seller
Concert classical guitar handmade in 2003 at the prestigious workshop of Tâm Hiệp, located on the iconic "luthier street" (District 3) of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Under the technical direction of master Nguyễn Văn Minh, this instrument is an example of exquisite Asian craftsmanship that combines high-quality woods with unrivaled manual marquetry work.
Materials and Construction of First Class:
Top: Solid spruce. With 23 years of natural aging, the top has acquired a precious honey tone and an harmonic richness that only time and use can bestow.
Sides and Back: Impressive Lacewood (Banana/Leopard wood). This exotic wood not only offers a striking visual aesthetic with its leopard-like grain, but also provides a balanced tonal response, nestled between the warmth of mahogany and the projection of rosewood.
Fingerboard and Bridge: High-density rosewood, ensuring durability and a smooth touch.
Luthier Details:
Rosette and Bindings: Authentic hand-inlaid wood marquetry (no decals), with complex geometric patterns.
Headstock: Carved artisanal design with contrasting wood reinforcements.
Back Strip: Decorative central reinforcement running the entire body length.
Condition and Sound:
As a 2003 instrument, the wood is fully settled and stable. Its sound is "open", with warm basses and crystal-clear trebles that are very defined. It is a guitar with a lot of personality, ideal for someone seeking a unique instrument that stands out both on stage and in a personal collection.
Year: 2003 (verified on the original holographic tag).
Condition: Excellent preservation for its age, well cared for.
