Description from the seller

- Mixed media
Born in 1977, Jone Hopper is a French artist.
In the late 1980s, he learned the ropes on the street through an emerging movement at the time, graffiti. He tags his name in the street, on walls and on trains. Recognized for his characters and his aerosol signatures, he created the collective TBS (The Brutal Style) with Skepa and a few other engaged graffiti artists. We know little about him because the artist remains faithful to the spirit of graffiti and wishes to stay anonymous, believing that it is the artwork that should be highlighted and not the person. Non-existent on social media, absent from openings, a faceless artist, he remains a true mystery except for a few gallery owners in the confidence. He compares his painting to a Hip Hop track; he acts like a sampler... samples, cuts, assembles and thus creates new images.
- Mixed media: aerosol, oil pastel and acrylic on canvas
- With certificate of authenticity
