Description from the seller

This is an interesting large vintage photograph, about 23.7x35.6 cm, taken by the famous Sicilian photographer Calogero Cascio, during his famous reportage in India in 1965 exploring the world and everyday life in India. In fact, here is a snapshot on the Howrah Bridge in Calcutta, where at any moment of the day you could find a 'Pariah' in the pedestrian, automobile, and public traffic of everyday life.
I have had the chance to see all the photographs from Calogero Cascio's India service, at least those chosen by the magazine Vitalità to be published in the beautiful November 1965 feature, all exceptional photographs, as this great artist was used to producing, but only 3 photographs out of about twenty earned the handwritten label "photo chosen" on the back, and this means not only the quality of the photograph but also the interest of the image depicted. A truly stunning photograph!
This is, of course, a genuine vintage photograph, duly stamped on the back by Calogero Cascio himself.
Excellent overall condition, guaranteed 100% authentic.
