Fulvio Roiter - Temple of Ephesus

This is an interesting vintage photograph taken by the famous Italian photographer Fulvio Roiter, renowned for his shots of Venice, and his reports around the world, considered one of the foremost exponents of photography in Italy. His book "Venezia", from 1977, sold over a million copies...!!!

The image shows perhaps a "personal" shot of the artist, a photo taken in Turkey, at the ruins of Ephesus, and it shows the Temple of Hadrian, with a perspective quite different from the one that postcards and the usual photos show of this monument. I don’t know if this image was published in Roiter's book "Turkey", dated 1968, but it remains a beautiful and rare photograph of this great international artist.

It is a true vintage photograph, the format is about 23.7x18 cm, and on the back we find the old stamp of the photographer and the date 1965 written by hand.
