This large-format work from the Birch Reflections series shows a quiet birch forest in gentle morning fog. Fine gray-green, sage, and eucalyptus tones blend with delicate layers of light, creating a calm, almost meditative atmosphere. The white birch trunks emerge clearly from the misty background, giving the composition depth, elegance, and a natural rhythm.

The reduced color palette and soft transitions give the image a modern, Scandinavian-inspired feel. Depending on the light, the perception of the colors changes—from cool silvery nuances to soft greenish reflections. This makes the work appear lively yet extraordinarily harmonious.

About the artist

Alla Faber lives and works in Hamburg.
For several years she has dedicated herself to abstract and contemporary painting, creating large-format works that balance between stillness and movement, structure and lightness.

Her preferred materials are acrylic paints, texture gels, and metal foils—combined in fine, often multi-layered compositions.
Through delicate transitions, harmonious color gradients, and light reflections, images arise that do not dominate the space, but fill it with quiet presence.

Her artistic work follows the concept “So klingt die Stille” — a painterly exploration of the moment between sound and silence.
In this silence, for Faber there is no emptiness, but a living force: the breathing of light, the whisper of colors, the gentle pulsation of the space.

Her works invite the viewer to pause and listen to the silence — that state in which calm, light, and emotion merge into a harmonious unity.
