Luciano Astolfi, born in 1960, lives and works in Roseto degli Abruzzi. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in L’Aquila under the direction of Gino Marotta, he participated with stage design and acting in Fabio Mauri’s theatrical performance “Gran Serata Futuristica,” staged at the Nuovo Theatre in Milan, the Olimpico in Rome, and the Comunale in L’Aquila. He took part in the film “Una città per la musica” by Bruno Vesta and M. Warren, and in 1985 directed the performance “Immagine e suoni in una sera d’estate” in the park of the Villa Comunale in Roseto. He was a finalist for the Lubian Prize chaired by Renato Guttuso and in 1979 won the graphic arts prize at the G. D’Annunzio prize. He is the author of the sculpture “La Rosa d’Oro,” which is awarded to figures from sport, entertainment, and culture in Abruzzo. He is represented in several museums including: Ugo Guidi and Gilardi Museum of Forte dei Marmi, Michetti Museum in Francavilla al Mare, Barbella in Chieti, Palazzo Bastogi in Florence and the Estense Castle in Ferrara, the Fortress of Civitella del Tronto, the Colonna Museum and the Aurum in Pescara, the Paris Monte Carlo hotel museum, Cantieri culturali Zisa in Palermo, Palazzo Bramante in Rome, Gallery Simone in Bratislava.
