A beautiful watercolor of a cat sitting next to a chair. The work is composed of black and sepia inks. It has an interesting perspective, viewed obliquely from above at the scene.
Charles Eyck (Meerssen, March 24, 1897 – Schimmert, August 2, 1983) was a Dutch painter, glass artist, sculptor and graphic artist. He is regarded as one of the most important Limburg-based artists of the twentieth century and was known for his colorful, expressive style and monumental works.
