This is a vintage white ship's lamp, also known as an anchor light with a Fresnel lens. Frans Schilbach was an active manufacturer of ship lamps until the end of World War II. After World War II, the city of Stettin was transferred to Poland (Szczecin). Like many other metal industries, after the war the activities of Frans Schilbach as a state-owned enterprise fell under the VEB. In Ueckermünde, 60 km northwest of Szczecin, the production of ship lamps was restarted and the company became VEB Schiffslaternenwerk Uekermünde.
