AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Lot description
Brand: Montegrappa
Model: 300 Series (Historic Line)
Type: Rollerball pen with twist mechanism
Material: Cap in deep blue marbled precious resin, body in metal with vertical linear guilloché and 23 carat yellow gold plating attributes.
Weight: 36 g.
Year of purchase: 2009 (Model produced in the 1990s)
Condition: Excellent overall, near-perfect

Description in detail:
I am offering at auction a Montegrappa collectible rollerball pen, belonging to the famous 300 Series. This line, produced from the late 80s through the 90s, was designed as an homage and modern reinterpretation of the mythical 1937 "402" celluloid model.

This exemplar presents superb visual balance: its faceted cap is in deep blue marbled resin, while its slender brass body is adorned with a delicate vertical-band guilloché pattern, entirely covered by rich 23k gold plating. The central band is engraved with the classic cursive signature of the Italian manufacture from Bassano del Grappa.

History and Condition:
Purchased at auction on another site in 2009. The original warranty booklet lacking the dealer stamp, the pen comes either from an unsold old stock of watchmaking/paper goods, or from a first owner who has handled it very little.
The cosmetic condition is remarkable (near-perfect): the resin is superb, the 23k gold plating shows no knocks, dents, or lacquer loss. Only a few micro-scratches, barely visible to the naked eye, testify to its age. The twist mechanism functions perfectly.

Contents of the sale (Full Set):
- The Montegrappa 300 rollerball pen
- Its original box
- Its outer box
- The instruction/service booklet (stamp-free)
- Ink: The pen is immediately functional, equipped for sale with a new blue Parker ink cartridge (size M), perfectly compatible.

A rare piece on the market that testifies to the brand's classic era before its acquisition by Richemont, ideal to enrich a collection or for daily use.

Shipping: Careful and secure shipment with tracking.
