The Waiting Room (2026) by LeYack, a 40×40 cm giclée on canvas, signed by the artist, limited edition of 20, produced in France and sold direct from the artist.
Description from the seller
A waiting room at a seaport railway station — dark woodwork, checkered tiling, wooden benches, arched windows opening onto a rough sea and a stormy sky. A clock shows the time. A woman alone in a beige coat and golden gloves sits with her hands clasped on her knees, head bowed. A leather suitcase at her feet. In a corner, a uniformed conductor reads his newspaper, indifferent.
LeYack here composes an image of time suspended — between two trains, between two lives, between a decision and its execution. The oblique light entering through the left-side window cuts the space into zones of shadow and light with the precision of a Flemish painter. The sea behind the glass is the only thing that moves. Everything else waits.
