Description from the seller
This bronze sculpture was created by Peter Engelen, who ranks among the top in the small group of contemporary animal sculptors that the Netherlands has. In his work he shows an exceptional talent for the art of omission. Intelligently, he captures the essence and power of his subject, whether it is walking, leaping, creeping, prowling, or fully relaxed.
Peter Engelen specializes in creating animal figures, with horses and carnivores being his particular preferences. His sculptures are characterized by a powerful form, a strong sense of anatomy, and a striking expression of movement and character.
