Material: Bright handcrafted marbled yellow resin with amber hues. Attributes (grip section, bands, clip and crown) in solid sterling silver 925. Crown engraved with official authenticity hallmarks “925” and “1140 MI” (Montegrappa master stamp). Cap ring engraved with the classical Greek motif.
Year of purchase: 2009 (in Paris)
Condition: Excellent overall (near mint), nib perfect, minor cosmetic traces noted.

Detailed description:
I am offering at auction an exceptionally rare and sought-after configuration of the Montegrappa Mia model. This specimen combines a magnificent hand-made yellow marbled resin with solid sterling silver 925 attributes, including the metal grip section.

The pen is equipped with a solid 18k gold nib in Extra-Fine (EF) size, a variant very difficult to find in this yellow finish. In use, this instrument offers rare writing pleasure, characterized by extreme fineness, impeccable consistency of flow, and very smooth glide.

History and detailed condition:
Purchased new in Paris in 2009. The pen has been used with care and is in an almost impeccable state:

Nib and resin: In perfect condition. Under magnification, a microscopic shine is observed on the resin of the cap, located right at the left edge of the summit of the clip (frontal view). It remains invisible to the naked eye (see photo).

Silver attributes: The shine is superb. Only a few micro-scratches from normal use are to be noted on the surface of the silver grip section.

Box: The pen is supplied with its original box. In keeping with the typical aging of Montegrappa coatings from that era, the internal/external synthetic material of the box shows signs of aesthetic degradation (peeling/flaking material visible in photos).
