Oil on canvas painting with mixed media, featuring gold leaf and glitter, 30x40 cm, signed on both the front and back of the canvas, a unique and original work, includes the certificate of authenticity.
Micol Forti (Rome, 1964) is a respected historian of modern and contemporary art, at the helm of the Vatican Museums’ Contemporary Art Collection.
Formed with a Specialization School and a Doctorate of Research, she has consolidated her academic profile at the University of Rome "La Sapienza," where she held the position of lecturer in Art History and Museology, focusing her research on critical thinking and the expressive currents of the 20th century.
In institutional terms, since 2016 she has served as Consultant to the Pontifical Council for Culture, within which she is also an active member of the Permanent Women’s Consultative Body. Of international note is her work for the Venice Biennale: she was curator of the Holy See Pavilion in 2015 (56th edition) and Executive Director for the pavilion’s debut in 2013 (55th edition).
