Description from the seller

My name is Clazien Boot (1964), I am a photographer, always looking for unique moments to capture. Creating images and conceiving ideas I find a wonderful pastime. Playing with light is a beautiful challenge. Several elements have so much influence; think of a diamond, it will not shine without light. I am inspired by looking around me, thus I am always discovering and my creativity is stimulated. Through the Professional Photographer training I mainly broadened my technical knowledge and gained experience in many aspects of photography. This photo of the potatoes was created in inspiration from Vincent van Gogh's The Potato Eaters. Van Gogh lived in Etten-Leur, my birthplace. I photographed the potatoes with a single light source, just as Rembrandt used light. I gave the potatoes, as it were, a stage; they are meant to be seen. The photo is printed on Velvet paper with a white border.
