Art Nouveau cast-brass desk ink set of 4 pieces, circa 1921–1922, signed Déposé with the inscription “1921–1922 Le Cercle des Étudiants du Hainaut à son Président” and including the original porcelain inkpot, Belgium origin, designer M L, in good used condition with minor signs of age.

Art Nouveau desk set / inkstand in cast brass – signed Depose – circa 1921-1922
Magnificent and rare Art Nouveau desk piece from the early 20th century, executed in cast brass with refined decorations of clover leaves and flowing organic lines, characteristic of the Jugendstil and Art Nouveau periods.
The central piece is an inkwell with a hinged lid. The original porcelain ink insert is still present. On the front there is an engraved inscription:
“1921 – 1922 Le Cercle des Étudiants du Hainaut à son Président”
This inscription refers to a donation from the student association of Hainaut (Belgium) to its president, giving the object an interesting historical and personal dimension.
The underside bears a casting mark with the word “Déposé” and a monogram/signature.
