Oil painting on canvas by the Dutch artist Harry Koolen (1904-1985), depicting a bouquet of roses in a vase.
The work is in excellent condition and signed by the artist at the bottom right.
Harry Koolen was a Dutch artist born in 1904 in Meerssen (South Limburg).
He studied at the Rijksacademie in Amsterdam. After his training he returned to his homeland where he had a studio in the castle of Terworm.
In 1945 he exhibited at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. He was a versatile artist who, among other things, created wall paintings for Brand brewery in Wybre, the abbey in Middelburg and the Air Force building in The Hague.
