Description from the seller
Color serigraph (screen print) on paper by Ida Kerkovius (1879–1970) with the title “Winter Landscape with Red Sun,” dated 1969.
The sheet shows an expressive, wintry landscape composition with houses, trees and a striking red sun. The work combines Kerkovius’s characteristic poetic colorfulness with a free, drawing-abstracted pictorial language. Particularly appealing is the contrast between the cool blue, gray, and black tones of the winter landscape and the vivid red sun as the compositional center.
