Original work by Joan Cruspinera Muñoz (Tiana, Barcelona, 1945), distinguished painter, draftsman and printmaker from Catalonia with a wide national and international exhibition career, with exhibitions in New York, London, Berlin and Paris, and awarded the National Prize for Printmaking in 1996 and 2000.
Title: "Emotional Composition".
Oil on canvas of large format, a work of exceptional technical and compositional complexity that reveals the double dimension of the artist in full creative maturity.
The work is articulated in two perfectly integrated pictorial registers: a cubist-abstract universe of geometric shapes fragmented in earth tones, brown and gray drawn with a precise black line, and a central oval figure of great luminosity treated with explosive gestural brushstrokes in reds, yellows, blues and turquoise greens of extraordinary chromatic energy.
