Description from the seller

Pre-1939 Siam Sterling Silver Cigarette Case with Thai Military Badge Emblem – 72.30 g

Rare and elegant vintage Siam Sterling silver cigarette case / small card case, decorated on the front with a raised Thai-style military badge emblem.

The interior is clearly stamped “SIAM STERLING”. This mark is particularly interesting because “Siam” was the historical name of Thailand, officially used until 1939. For this reason, the mark identifies the object as a vintage Thai/Siamese sterling silver piece, traditionally associated with the Siam period or early Thai export silver production.

The front decoration features a finely detailed raised emblem, similar in appearance to a Thai military badge or shoulder patch-style insignia. The shield-shaped enamel background shows the colours of the Thai flag — red, white and blue — while the central metal emblem has a ceremonial/military character. This gives the piece a strong collectible value, especially for collectors of Asian silver, Thai/Siamese objects, militaria-style emblems and vintage cigarette cases.

The case opens on a hinge and still has its internal metal holder/spring element. The surface shows visible signs of age, including scratches, patina, oxidation and small marks, all consistent with age and use. These signs have been preserved and are part of the authenticity and vintage charm of the piece.
