Photo taken during the filming of the movie Help in 1964 inland in the London countryside. Surreal war film tied to the hippie imagination that opposed the USA-Vietnam conflict and the concept of war in general. The film was low budget and the actors had neither campers nor chairs nor other kinds of comfort. In the photo we see John Lennon and Ringo Starr in a moment of leisure from the shoot.
Limited edition.
The photo is digitally printed on Hahnemuhle cotton rag paper with a smooth 305gsm. Passe-partout 4cm. Archive inks guaranteed 150 years. Photograph with the original artist's stamp and signature.
The photos are presented at auction in low resolution to prevent unauthorized reproductions; the photos sent to buyers will instead be reproduced from the originals in high resolution for an optimal print.
Emilio Lari was born in Rome in 1939, a set photographer from 1960 to today. In 1960 his passion for photography led him to join the Press Office team of Luigi Pratulon (then the on-set photographer for Federico Fellini's film La Dolce Vita). He was subsequently sent to London to photograph the new group, the Beatles, at the beginning of their success. A master of photographic light, Emilio has worked on over 140 films.
