A glazed ceramic sculpture vase of Italian origin in a postmodern/brutalist design from the 1970s–1980s, 22 cm high, 12 cm wide and about 10 cm deep, unsigned and in good condition.
Description from the seller
Sculptural ceramic vase – Italian postmodern design – 1970s/80s
Elegant sculptural vase in Italian artistic ceramic, dateable between the 1970s and 1980s, expression of postmodern formal language and plastic research typical of radical design of the era.
The work features a complex architectural structure, composed of intersecting geometric volumes, cavities and openings that create an interesting play of fills and empties. The composition recalls brutalist and experimental influences, making the piece a true sculpture as well as a functional object.
The surface is finished with glossy glaze in terracotta/orange tones, which enhances the materiality of the ceramic and the variations of light on the surfaces.
