The painting is part of the collection of works "Oggetti Smarriti", created between 2023 and 2024.
Francesco D'Adamo was born in Siena in 1979 and grew up in Termoli. His first encounters with painting occurred in childhood through private lessons, but it was only after 2006, when he moved to Bologna, that painting returned to being a constant and fundamental presence in his life and over time became his main activity. The following years saw his first exhibitions in the city and participation in several art fairs and events in Europe and in Asia. This first decade of pictorial research drew the interest of collectors and art lovers from around the world and culminated in the important solo exhibitions Chimere (2017), Discanto (2018) and Dyssomnia (2019, Hong Kong). These first ten years of work culminated in the book “Decade,” published in 2021.
His pictorial research sinks its roots in Italian informale and American abstract expressionism, with particular attention to a continuous dialogue between visual language and music. Gesture and rhythm, layered surfaces, a strong palette, and the use of different techniques converge into a lyrical image that is at once lyrical and deeply concrete.
