"Delicate Balance" is a still life made in the studio of photographer Ursula van de Bunte. It concerns a print on Hahnemuhle Baryta protected with Renaissance Wax. The size of the photo is 20x20 cm and it concerns the first edition of 25 copies. The photo is mounted in a wooden frame without glass.
In the still lifes by Van de Bunte ordinary objects take on a new role. They are detached from use and function and appear as pure forms: quiet, present, almost vulnerable. Through the soft light, the sober composition and the attention to skin, scale, glass and ceramic a still world arises in which time slows down. The photographer works with the latest Hasselblad equipment and creates her photography from a studio located in a monumental building in the Hanseatic city of Kampen. Her work is presented in museums, galleries and at art fairs.

Her work is unconventional and the use of light leans toward her sources of inspiration: the paintings of Jacques-Louis David, Rembrandt and Caravaggio.
As a photographer Ursula also seeks to distinguish herself through diversity in her work, and beside individual creations she makes series, where multiple images tell one story. She is notably discovered with her intriguing, still lifes: the series Plastic Vegetables and the series House-4-Sale. These works have been awarded with various prizes, among them for the series “de 100 van Rooyackers.”
