General information:
Model: XL 600 LM (Model with electric start and large tank, icon of the great African raids)
Year of production: 1986
Indicated mileage: 62,000 km total recorded by the instrument.
Post-restoration mileage: 9,000 km. The vehicle was completely mechanically and cycle-structure restored upon reaching 53,000 km.
Documentation status: Registered with ASI with History Relevance Certificate (CRS). Italian documents in order, ready for ownership transfer or export.
Location: Italy (Piacenza).
Vehicle condition
1. Bodywork and Painting
Chassis and superstructures: The frame and engine block have been completely disassembled and professionally repainted. No scratches, dents, imperfections or signs of rust are evident.
Tank: Thoroughly checked; interior is free of rust or sediment, exterior in excellent condition.
Metals: Total galvanizing of all metal components (finishes in both white and yellow), including wheel spokes. No oxidation.
Seat: Fully restored by a specialized craftsman with new padding and cover, consistent with the original period specifications and colors. Free of tears or any wear.
Fork: Front suspension fully renovated with Wilbers fork spring upgrade. Seals and oil seals are new and show no seepage or oil leaks.
2. Technical and mechanical conditions
Engine: Fully rebuilt at 53,000 km. Work performed includes:
Installation of a new piston.
Replacement of crankshaft bearings.
Camshaft re-profiling at Faenza specialized company.
Complete engine gasket kit replacement.
Head work: Valve seats re-cut, installation of new valves and manual cleaning of the cylinder head passages to remove any casting burrs and optimize flows.
Full service (oil and filters) just performed. The engine starts promptly cold and hot, and delivers power smoothly and steadily.
Gearbox and Clutch: Clutch and gearbox have been checked and are smooth and precise in engagements.
Brakes, Tires and Transmission: Brand new tires (0 km). Braking system and drive train kit (chain, sprocket, rear wheel) are in optimal condition and require no intervention.
Electrical System: Entirely checked. All lights (headlights, indicators, brake) and the onboard instrumentation are fully functional.
Originality: The vehicle faithfully respects the era specifications. The only non-original component installed is the Xracing silencer, replaced to improve exhaust sound and performance.
