Description from the seller

Item Description

This lot includes two vintage manual pencil sharpeners produced by ELM Kogyo, one of Japan’s respected stationery manufacturers. Both pieces feature an attractive pink color scheme and represent the quality and charm of Japanese Showa-era stationery.

1. ELM New Spiral 7 S-1 (Pink)
A robust desk pencil sharpener with a metal body and precision spiral cutting mechanism. Based on its design, logo style, and product history, this model is believed to have been produced around the late 1970s to early 1980s. It shows age-related wear, rust, and paint loss, giving it an authentic vintage character.

2. ELM Super Mini S-105 (Pink)
A compact and charming manual sharpener with a plastic body and metal cutting mechanism. This model is estimated to have been produced around 1977–1983. Its small size and pink color reflect the popular Japanese stationery trends of the late Showa period.

Together, these two pieces beautifully show the transition from sturdy metal desk tools to compact, colorful personal stationery. A wonderful set for collectors of vintage Japanese stationery and Showa retro items.
