Description from the seller
Marc Kronig is a freelance photographer from Zermatt in Switzerland. For over 40 years he has pursued photography with passion and continually develops his artistic work. He is particularly fascinated by the world of Polaroid photography with its unique expressive possibilities and its unmistakable character.
Besides classical photography, Marc Kronig experiments with various creative techniques and combines photographic motifs with pictorial elements. A main focus of his work lies in the realm of Polaroid Mixed Media. In this approach, the Polaroids are partly overpainted with acrylic paints, creating new layers, textures, and moods. In other works he uses transparent paper, which he enhances and accentuates with pencil and graphite drawings. Thus, photography and drawing merge into a distinct artistic expression.
Through this individual processing, each work becomes a unique original. Each acquired image is a signed one-off and is delivered with a certificate of authenticity. The combination of analog photography, handcrafted refinement, and artistic interpretation gives Marc Kronig's works their special aura and exclusivity.
