Vova Titov is an Estonian born artist with a degree in interior design from the prestigious Herzen University in St. Petersburg. His paintings, sculptures and drawings are all one of a kind, hand-crafted and have been sold internationally, with some making their way into the homes of Hollywood directors. His art is represented by the Saatchi Gallery, with regular auctions on Catawiki.
"Shorter" The work, executed using mixed media, combines painting on canvas with collaged paper inserts, creating a genuine tactile relief. Crumpled, torn, and corrugated fragments of paper engage in a dialogue with the painted surfaces, transforming the canvas surface into a nearly sculptural object. The composition is built on the clash of rounded, arched forms and rigid vertical ruptures.
The palette is restrained and industrial: lead gray, terracotta, ash blue, ochre, and deep black. Golden reflections on the crumpled paper add unexpected warmth to the work, creating a sense of found, used material, carrying the memory of time.. Signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
