The painting was created in the year 2000 in connection with the project „Cocoon at Pigall“ in Zürich. The work was personally gifted by the artist to the current owner at the time. The provenance is documented by a written confirmation from Valentin Magaro dated 2025.

The characteristic black mesh-like structure over an intensely luminous field of yellow, orange and green tones refers to the artist’s typical visual language from this phase of his work. The piece can be displayed both horizontally and vertically.

Valentin Magaro has received, among other honors, the Adolf-Dietrich Förderpreis and was awarded further prizes from the UBS Culture Foundation as well as the International Lake Constance Conference. His works have been shown in numerous exhibitions in Switzerland and internationally and are in private as well as public collections.

The composition features an intricate black organic network structure spreading across a luminous background of yellow, orange and green tones. The visual language evokes cellular, botanical and biomorphic forms, characteristic of Magaro’s work from this period.
