This is a photo of the Dutch photographer Danielle Kwaaitaal and belongs to the Airheads series from 1998. In this series Kwaaitaal explores, in a playful and disorienting way, themes such as identity, beauty and impermanence. Her photographic work is characterized by a strong visual style, where fashion, portrait photography and conceptual art come together.
The Airheads series was first exhibited at Bloom Gallery in Amsterdam and later gained international attention through exhibitions and presentations at art fairs worldwide. With this series, Danielle Kwaaitaal established her name as an innovative artist within contemporary photography.
