Description from the seller
Screen print made at Studio D Milano, in 100 numbered and signed editions by the artist
Salvatore Esposito
Born in Gallipoli in 1937. Since 1960 he has been in Milan at the Brera Academy, where he attended Mauro Reggiani's courses. After the Academy he stayed in Milan, Berlin and Paris. He visited North Africa, Spain, London and New York. Yet for Esposito there remains an artistic truth made of Mediterranean lyricism, strengthened by peregrination after peregrination, from Giacometti's studio to Rauschenberg's. Finally the arrival in Sassari, where the never‑removed solar feeling of form and nature bursts forth, making its way among motifs alien to it. In Sassari, in 1999, at the Provincial Palace, the last great exhibition: painting as the enchantment of the landscape, with a Mazzotta catalog.
