Henri Cassiers's watercolour Hollands dorp (1910–1920) is a Belgian landscape titled Hollands dorp, sold with a frame and measuring 49 × 59 cm with the frame.
Description from the seller
The Antwerp painter and watercolorist Henri Cassiers became best known for his landscapes and seascapes painted in warm tones in Flanders and Zeeland. In addition, he, like his Belgian contemporaries Edgar Farasyn and Maurice Sys, had a particular fondness for the picturesque fishing life of Katwijk and Volendam. Cassiers' watercolors were immensely popular in his time and were widely reproduced on postcards, posters, and tiles. The painter was also known as a book illustrator, and he served as chairman of the Societé Royale Belge des Aquarellistes for more than thirty years. Museums: including the Koninklijke Musea voor Schone Kunsten in Brussels.
