Biographie de l’artiste peintre Nguyen Robert 1958.

Born in 1958 in Ben Tre, an authentic village nestled in the heart of the Mekong Delta, Nguyen Robert is a Franco-Vietnamese artist whose work is distinguished by a unique fusion of Asian traditions and Western artistic influences.

From a young age, he has been fascinated by the rural architecture of his environment, the lines of traditional houses, the volumes of floating markets, the shadows cast by water palms — all elements that would become the foundation of his visual language.

Having always been based in his native region, Nguyen Robert over decades developed a deeply contemporary, modern, and resolutely architectural style.

His paintings explore structures, lines, urban rhythms, and geometric abstraction, while preserving a poetic sensitivity inherent to Vietnamese culture.

His double heritage, Franco-Vietnamese, enriches his approach: he borrows from the West the rigor of modern compositions and the boldness of contrasts, while his Vietnamese soul infuses softness, spirituality and fluidity into his works.

The result is a pictorial universe where modernity meets the timeless, where geometry dialogues with light, creating paintings of great visual power.

Known for his ability to transform daily life into abstract landscapes, Nguyen Robert is today considered one of the singular voices of contemporary painting in the Mekong Delta.

He continues his work in his studio in Ben Tre, surrounded by the landscapes that shaped his identity, and continues to exhibit in several galleries in Asia and Europe, captivating collectors and art lovers seeking deeply modern, structured and vibrant artworks.
