Empire View - Hand signed is a 40 x 40 cm limited edition giclée on canvas by French artist Le Yack, hand signed, limited to 20 numbered copies, with certificate of authenticity, produced in France from 2020 or later, in a Realism style, sold directly from the artist and ready to frame.
Description from the seller
A New York office from the 1950s-60s, late-afternoon light with an apricot hue. A woman in a charcoal gray suit stands, back to the viewer, facing a bay window that opens onto the Manhattan skyline. She holds a cup of coffee whose steam rises. The Empire State Building cuts through the sunset haze. On the desk to the left: a black rotary phone, an ashtray, folders.
Le Yack paints the woman of power before there was a word to designate her. Back to the viewer, facing the city — this posture says everything about the decision that has just been made or will be. The hot coffee says she has been there for a long time. The Empire State in the mist says that New York matches what she imagines. It’s a painting about quiet ambition — the rarest and most formidable.
