Schelpenvisser, a 1939 oil on panel by Jacques van Eck (pseudonym W. van Kampen), Dutch Hague School sea view, hand-signed, original edition, framed with an ornate gold-colour Baroque frame, panel 13 × 11 cm within a 23 × 21 cm frame.

Jacques van Eck moodily evocative seaside scene with shellfisher on horseback (signed W . van Kampen)
Magnificent seascape in the style of the Hague School, painted by the well-known Dutch artist Jacques van Eck (Amsterdam 1939).
This refined artwork shows a shell or prawn fisherman seated on a working horse in the surf off the Dutch coast.
In the background is the subtle contour of a sailing vessel (bomschuit) visible under a beautiful, typical Dutch cloudscape.
Van Eck knew better than anyone how to capture the nostalgic atmosphere and the light of the 19th-century master.
The panel is signed in the bottom left with the artist's well-known pseudonym ;W, van Kampen.
On the reverse there is an annotation (collectors note on paper) that confirms the provenance and the linkage
between Jacques van Eck and his pseudonym.
Detail and Condition;
* Medium: oil on wooden panel, signed, dimensions 13 cm by 11 cm. the panel in good original condition.
* Frame: Including the very richly ornamented gold-colored Baroque frame with deep relief, a corner is
somewhat damaged see photo. The frame bears the usual signs of use and is 23 cm by 21 cm and has a depth of 4 cm.
