About Macallan Classic Cut 2018

The CC 2018 Release is the second expression in the distillery's limited annual series. For this edition, Whisky Maker Ian Morrison deliberately lowered the alcohol proof compared to the 2017 debut. This adjustment was designed to bring a dominant sweetness and a more accessible, viscous mouthfeel to the forefront.
Exclusively matured in hand-selected Oloroso Sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain. Limited to 90,000 bottles worldwide.
Tasting Notes
Color: Earthy gold or natural bright amber.
Nose: Dominated by fresh citrus notes of orange and lemon zest, evolving into sweet vanilla, nutmeg, ginger, and polished oak.
Palate: A sweet, full-bodied explosion of creamy butterscotch, gingerbread, chocolate malt, and dark dried fruits like raisins and dates.
Finish: Medium to long, quite dry, leaving a coating warmth of toasted oak, baking spices, and a hint of cocoa..
