About Macallan Classic Cut 2020

The CC - 2020 Release is the fourth expression in the distillery's annual limited-edition series. This vintage represents a major historic milestone for the collection, as it broke away from exclusively using sherry casks for the first time since the series debuted.
A unique combination of traditional European oak Sherry-seasoned casks and American oak ex-bourbon casks.
Color: Sunlit straw (100% natural color, showing a noticeably lighter hue due to the bourbon oak influence).
Tasting Notes: The inclusion of bourbon casks gives this bottle a noticeably lighter, more vibrant, and herbaceous profile compared to the heavy dark-fruit profiles of 2017–2019.
Nose: Light vanilla combined with candied orange peel, fresh honey, sweet raisins, crisp fresh oak, and an unusual hint of fresh thyme.
Palate: Soft warmth from ginger spice, bright sweet orange, creamy vanilla, and coating honey, framed by vibrant oak.
Finish: Sweet and highly refreshing ("zingy"), leaving a distinctive lingering trace of fresh garden thyme.
