Description from the seller

Nicole Lubbers has been active for years at an international level within the contemporary art world. Her work has been exhibited in cities such as New York, Prague, and this month in Colling. She has exhibited twice on Times Square and placed second at the World Art Awards. Additionally, she has participated in various international biennales and her work is represented in several galleries across Europe.

With her newest collection, Nicole Lubbers is pursuing a decidedly new artistic path. While her international experience remains perceptible, she now consciously opts for stillness, layering, and authenticity. In her recent works, she explores the fragile beauty of memory, the fading, and emotional resonance.

Working with durable oil paints, acrylic, and charcoal, she creates aesthetic compositions that feel like faded manuscripts of memory — intuitive, poetic, and raw at the same time. Her canvases balance between abstraction and recognition, between stillness and movement. Each work bears traces of emotion, time, and human presence.

The works are produced on stretched canvas measuring 50 x 70 cm and are deliberately presented without a frame. This preserves the purity of the work and gives the collector the freedom to tailor the artwork entirely to their interior and experience — with or without a frame.

For Nicole Lubbers, art is no longer solely about image, but about feeling, memory, and matter. Her new series forms an intimate encounter between sustainability, aesthetics, and personal expression — a reinvention of painting and drawing in their most authentic form. This work comes with a certificate of authenticity.
