Description from the seller
GREEN EYES is a 70x100 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. This work is a portrait of contemplation and mystery. The female figure emerges against an intense red background, while a delicate bouquet of white flowers covers part of her face, creating a game between what is shown and what remains hidden. The direct, serene gaze becomes the emotional center of the piece, inviting the viewer to stop and discover the stories that dwell behind her.
The contrast between the intensity of the red and the softness of the white petals generates a visual tension full of elegance. The flowers, depicted with loose, luminous brushstrokes, bring freshness and delicacy, while the green tones of the foliage dialogue with the color of the eyes, reinforcing the chromatic harmony of the composition.
The work explores the relationship between identity and nature, between presence and secret. Half of the face remains veiled by the flowers, suggesting that every person guards an intimate and inaccessible part. Far from hiding, the flowers seem to protect and beautify that inner dimension.
With a contemporary aesthetic and a strong decorative influence, “Green Eyes” combines visual strength and poetic sensitivity. It is a painting that conveys calm, elegance, and magnetism, capable of drawing the gaze and remaining in memory long after it has been contemplated.
