The Parker Duofold Fontain pen, produced in the 1930s, is a good example. The pen in the picture is almost 100 years old. Originally made of celluloid and colored Black & Pearl, it has deteriorated over time.Thanks to the gases, it underwent a color change and darkened significantly, turning into a rich caramel and black color.This is a necessary change in the materials used.
