Lot of 5 GBD vintage briar pipes from the 1950s-70s (pre-Cadogan) + handmade wooden carved pipe stand. All with original metal logo, good-quality briar, clean and ready to smoke. Good/used condition with natural patina. Great opportunity for collectors or enthusiasts.
1. GBD Supreme 1025 – Classic shape, beautiful grain.
2. GBD ExtraDry 2131B – Line with system for dry smoking.
3. GBD Trident 1062 – Less common.
4. GBD New Standard 89141 – Robust, stamp “New Standard”.
5. GBD Extra Dry 1102 – Second ExtraDry.
Internal bowls cleaned, with slight signs of use (normal and desirable).
• Original metal GBD logo clearly visible on all (mark of authenticity and pre-1980 quality).
• Grain of briar visible and pleasant on many (especially Supreme and the ExtraDry).
• Stems in good condition, with no evident bites or serious damage.
• Wooden pipe stand solid, rustic carved, functional and dramatic (handmade).
Transparency:
Normal oxidation/patina on the stems (typical of vintage pipes).
• Some signs of use on the rim of the bowls (slight charring).
• The pipe stand shows natural wood wear but remains stable.
• No visible cracks, no obvious repairs.
