Description from the seller
Origin / Exhibitions
Work exhibited on the occasion of PARATISSIMA KOSMOS – Unpredictable-Untitled, XXI edition of Paratissima 2025, at the Real Collegio Carlo Alberto in Moncalieri. Exhibition coordinated by Roberta Bani.
Fratture in rete is an original sculptural work by Angelo Scardino, made of PLA and resin, with assembly, 3D printing and hand finishing.
The work presents itself as a contemporary wall sculpture, composed of white figurative fragments that recall classical and baroque traditions: bodies, faces, drapery and anatomical details emerge like archaeological relics, broken and reassembled into a new visual structure.
On these fragments a black reticular grid, tactile and irregular, intersects the entire composition like an urban network, a cage, a scaffold or a web of connection. The contrast between the glossy white fragments and the black structure creates a strong visual tension between memory and contemporaneity, fragility and construction, ruin and reassembly.
The title Fratture in rete highlights this dialogue between fragmentation and connection: the fracture as fall, loss and broken memory; the network as constraint, structure and attempt at reconstruction. The work reflects on the survival of the classical image in the present, transforming the fragment into a contemporary, urban and layered language.
A work with strong stage presence, ideal for collectors of contemporary art, minimalist environments, professional studios or exhibition spaces.
Unique work, created and signed by the artist.
Shipped insured and trackable, with professional packaging and a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
