Oil Painting Set Lefranc & Bourgeois – Nicolas de Staël (1970)
Promotional / comprehensive educational set, reference 120/16, published by Lefranc & Bourgeois in 1970
+ color postcard *Figure on horseback* by Nicolas de Staël (Braun). Very good condition

Contents:
- Tarpapanel on board 41 × 27 cm with silhouette (outline) of the artwork *Figure on horseback* by Nicolas de Staël
- Thermoformed tray containing a selection of Lefranc & Bourgeois oil color tubes
- Bottle of painting medium (ref. 810)
- Bottle of petroleum spirit (ref. 1247) Empty
- Pan and brush
- Original blue cardboard box with handles
This set is part of the 1970s “Great Masters” series. It is sold complete with its original packaging.
Condition: Good overall for an object 55 years old. Tubes untested (some may be dry). Box and support well preserved.
The light Japanese yellow tube is quite chewed/torn.
+ linseed oil bottle 806 (not included in the set)
small bottle of clarified Linseed Oil Lefranc (Linseed Oil / Leinöl) dating from the years
- Label design: Logo with anchor and caduceus (historic Lefranc emblem), multilingual mentions (French/English/German), and the textured repetitive background “Lefranc & Bourgeois Paris” — common graphic style in Beaux-Arts products of that period.
- Small bottle (approximately 75–100 ml) with black plastic cap, very common for clarified linseed oils intended for artists.
Product for thinning and preparing colors for oil painting (drying medium). Lefranc
