Bert Stern (1929–2013) - Famous Marilyn Monroe Crucifix 2

Bert Stern Family Collection is made up of prints the artist gave to his family during his lifetime. Comprised of Artist proofs, special editions and unique prints, this collection upholds the integrity and legacy of the visionary photographer.

" Famous Marilyn Crucifix 2" is signed in white pencil on the recto and copyright stamped and signed on the verso by the artist. The edition is 12/62 with an image size of 10 x 10 on Heavy Matte Archival paper measuring 19 x 13. Bert enjoyed working with the crucifix creating new colors and this one turned out very uinque.

Bert worked on his own negatives, cleaned them and enhanced his images, creating brilliant vibrant photos you see today. He printed using several inks dyed into the archival photo paper, he called them Pigment Prints, guaranteed not to fade for 100 years.
