This work is a reinterpretation of the famous painting by Jacques-Louis David, “Bonaparte Crossing the Great Saint Bernard Pass” (1801). Nadège Dauvergne deconstructs the Napoleonic myth here while paying homage to the neoclassical painter.

Our Somerset Velvet 330 g paper edition recalls Nadège Dauvergne's creation of a monumental fresco on the same subject near the Château de Fontainebleau.
