An antique bronze ship's bell, stamped "E. Biron à Paris". The family business was founded in the 19th century by Jean-Baptiste Biron and continued by his son Edouard Biron, who was active in Paris between 1872 and 1910 and cast this bell. The bell is about 30 cm tall and has a diameter of 24 cm. The clapper is 20 cm long, and a braided leather strap is attached. The inside of the bell shows clear signs of wear from use. Een antieke bronzen (scheeps-) bel, gestempeld "E. Biron à Paris". 
Het familiebedrijf is in de 19e eeuw opgericht door Jean-Baptiste Biron en voortgezet door zijn zoon Edouard Biron, die actief was in Parijs tussen 1872 en 1910 en deze bel heeft gegoten. 
De bel is ca. 30 cm hoog en heeft een doorsnede van 24 cm. De klepel is 20 cm lang, en er is een gevlochten lederband aan bevestigd. 
De binnenkant van de klok vertoont duidelijk slijtagesporen door het gebruik.
