Description from the seller
CESTA DE MANGOS is a 70x100 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. In this work, an exuberant still life unfolds with vibrant chromatic intensity. In the center of the composition, a wicker basket filled with ripe mangoes becomes the visual nucleus of the scene. Its warm tones—reds, yellows and greens—reflect the abundance and richness of the tropical fruit.
Around the basket, decorated vases and branches laden with flowers and fruits create an exuberant atmosphere that seems to overflow the table. The dark, elongated leaves contrast with the red and yellow flowers, generating a dynamic visual rhythm that runs throughout the painting.
The intense blue background provides depth and freshness, balancing the warmth of the colors of the fruit and the decorated table. The tablecloth, with floral motifs in blue and red, adds an ornamental character that reinforces the festive nature of the composition.
The brushstrokes are loose and gestural, leaving visible the movement of the painting and conveying a sense of spontaneity. Each mango seems modeled with small touches of color that suggest volume and ripeness, while the basket introduces a texture that stabilizes the whole.
Cesta de Mangos celebrates the abundance of nature and the visual pleasure of intense colors. A work full of energy where fruit, flowers and everyday objects come together to create a vibrant, luminous and deeply sensory scene.
