La Lune en Rodage is considered one of the most significant portable editions of post-war and contemporary art. Carl Laszlo brought together the leading artists of his time; many of the works included mark a turning point in their respective careers and production.
Gerd Arntz was a member of the Cologne-based Progressive Artists group and ranks among the defining figures of 20th-century political printmaking. In abstracted figures rendered as woodcuts and linocuts, he depicted the life of the working class and the struggle between labour and capital. His artistic legacy is administered by the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag.
