The wine
Dom Pérignon Rosé is produced only in vintages where the rosé reaches the same exacting standard as the blanc. It is built around Pinot Noir vinified as a red wine and blended in to give colour and structure — a uniquely Dom Pérignon approach, refined over decades by Chef de Cave Richard Geoffroy.The 2006 season in Champagne produced a generous, sun-blessed vintage with ripe fruit and a structured Pinot Noir profile that suits the rosé style particularly well. After more than eight years on lees in the Hautvillers cellars, the wine was released to general distribution and has continued to develop in bottle since. It is widely regarded among the strongest recent rosé vintages, consistently scoring in the mid-90s across major critics.

Tasting profile
Pale salmon-copper in the glass, with a fine, persistent mousse. The nose offers wild strawberry, blood orange, dried rose petal, white pepper and a discreet brioche note from the lees ageing. On the palate it is silky and tightly woven, with fresh red fruit framed by saline mineral tension and a long, gastronomic finish carrying gentle bitter-orange and savoury herb notes. A wine for serious occasions and serious food — equally at home with shellfish, game birds or aged hard cheeses.

Condition
Capsule and foil: Fully intact across the entire neck, no tears, no exposed cork, no signs of seepage. The soft, lightly creased texture of the maroon foil is original and characteristic of Dom Pérignon — not damage.
Fill level: Not visually assessable, as the foil capsule covers the full neck to the shoulder (standard for Dom Pérignon); storage history supports an excellent fill.
