Description from the seller
-WORK DETAILS-
Finisterre is born from the untamed force of the ocean and the beauty that emerges even in the midst of a storm. Inspired by the mythical Galician cape long considered the end of the known world, the piece evokes the moment when the sea roils and light breaks through the storm. Deep blues and golden gestures intertwine in a composition charged with energy, where movement and matter capture the changing intensity of the Atlantic landscape.
Beyond representing a place, Finisterre speaks to the ability to find beauty in uncertainty and the strength that resides in what cannot be mastered. Like the waves that lash the coast again and again, the work reminds us that even in moments of greatest intensity there is a light capable of guiding us. An invitation to embrace the unpredictable and to contemplate the immensity of the sea as a reflection of our own nature.
Belongs to the collection of abstract works “Textures.”
THE WORK IS DELIVERED WITHOUT A STRETCHER, rolled in a reinforced PVC tube to ensure safer and much more economical delivery. Once you receive the work, it will be rolled inside the tube which opens by screw for greater safety and, wrapped in bubble wrap. After unrolling, I recommend taking it to a specialized framer to have it stretched and mounted.
It is signed on the back and front with the completion date and an accompanying certificate of authenticity rolled together with the artwork.
The colors of the piece vary slightly depending on the room lighting, adding dynamism and adaptability to the environment. These photos were taken indoors in a house with warm light. Additionally, the piece features a satin finish varnish for greater durability and quality.
-CURRICULUM COBER-
Cober is a 26-year-old Madrid-based artist who has carved a unique path in the art world, blending his urban heritage with his passion for figurative expression. His career began in graffiti, where he created street-level murals noted for their mastery of space and their ability to capture the essence of portraits. These monumental works, ranging from 10 m² to 500 m², allowed him to perfect his technique and connect with Madrid’s urban environment, marking the start of an artistic quest that defines him to this day.
Today, Cober takes his art beyond the streets, bringing his talent to large-format canvases. He masterfully combines spray techniques, acrylics, and plastic paint to create works that reflect the richness and depth of figurative art. His style developed after a period of exploration, during which he sought ways to fuse his graffiti experience with a more introspective and sophisticated expression. This journey led him to focus on depicting women, figures that occupy a central place in his work. Cober finds in them a unique, almost indescribable beauty that transcends words and becomes the axis of his artistic practice.
With a palette dominated by neutral tones and touches of gold, his compositions convey elegance and emotional depth that invite contemplation. For Cober, each portrait is a quest to capture the feminine essence, exploring the diversity, strength, and vulnerability that define his subjects.
Eyes are a recurring and fascinating element in his work. For Cober, they represent the reflection of the soul and the trait that best defines a person. In every gaze he portrays, he seeks a silent dialogue with the viewer, a connection that allows him to convey stories, emotions, and fragments of life. This attention to detail and his sensitivity in capturing the intangible have defined his artistic identity.
Throughout his career, Cober has had the opportunity to bring his art to unique settings. He has created live works at the emblematic Jarama Circuit, a place charged with adrenaline and motorsport passion. He has also worked at the Porsche dealership in Majadahonda, where he fused the sophistication of Porsche cars with the expressive power of his art, creating pieces that capture the brand’s essence. His participation in graffiti competitions has also been notable, winning important contests and establishing himself as a reference in the urban space.
With versatile technique and a unique sensibility, Cober continues to push the boundaries of his art, always seeking new ways to express himself. His work not only connects with viewers but leaves an enduring mark on every surface he transforms, whether on an urban facade or a carefully worked canvas.
